Our staff consists of certified paralegals, law students,
lawyers and information technology professionals. All are thoroughly
trained in document management.

A veteran negotiator for Fortune 500 companies, attorney
Chris Farmakis recognized the need for robust,
professionally supported document management and due
diligence software. Chris
oversaw the development of a flexible solution that enables
users to access, analyze and act on critical business
information from anywhere on demand. Leveraging years of
merger and acquisition experience, Chris also led
development of the Virtual Deal Room, which allows sellers
to quickly and easily share company information with potential buyers in a
controlled online environment.
Applying his years of experience in business methodology,
Chris designed the client-centered process that sets us
apart. Each document management project begins with
comprehensive interviews of key personnel. Then the Solvaire
team customizes a solution. Quality controls are implemented
at every step to ensure consistency and reliability. Chris
leads many of the company's major initiatives.
Chris graduated summa cum laude from
the University of Pittsburgh in 1990, with a B.A. in
Economics. He was awarded the honor of University Scholar
from the University of Pittsburgh for undergraduate

Major Projects and Events
|
|
Solvaire launched in 1999 as a project sponsored by
partners of the law firm
Babst Calland.
The firm had been searching for a platform to manage due
diligence for a client that had acquired thousands of real estate
properties across the country. Every acquisition was
accompanied by a wealth of paper agreements, including
ground leases, rental and tenant agreements and regulatory
documentation. No existing platform met their needs. In this
research and development phase, the team piloted unique
processes for large-scale document content management.
Solvaire refined its methods on a project
for one
of the area's biggest corporations. The client
needed to reorganize multiple internal entities, collapsing
them into a single operating company. They needed to assign thousands of contracts
to the new entity. Solvaire created a database to abstract
and catalog content and to direct
the mailing of thousands of notices and requests for
assignment consent.
No software on the market met the specific needs of this project,
so Solvaire developed
the prototype version of TRAX. Using TRAX, the attorneys and
support staff handled the entire job electronically, with
tremendous results. Solvaire’s unusual blend
of project management, software development and
consulting skills met the needs of this corporation
precisely. We further developed the system to help
others overcome
frustrating and costly information management problems.
In 2006, Solvaire launched a service to enhance due
diligence of key financial, legal and operations documents
of businesses up for sale. VDOX, the Virtual Deal Room,
provides a blazing fast platform to easily share documents
and track the activity of potential buyers. Posting pre-sale
or pre-merger documents to a data room can turn into a
nightmare without the help of experienced professionals.
Solvaire’s innovators will continue to develop new
solutions and stay up-to-date with industry standards such
as storing your information in an
SAS 70 Type II Compliant Data Center .
Many successful projects have given the
team an opportunity to compare the internal operations of
global companies. Solvaire will not identify which clients
have made what mistakes, of course, but we have learned from
both their mistakes and their successes. We have seen the
crippling effects of poor document management and heard the
sighs of relief when a good system replaces a poor one.
